Happy Monday, y'all!
Whew, it's been a whirlwind of a weekend, as I flew out on Friday morning at 6:00am for San Francisco for the weekend for work. But what's a work trip without A LITTLE fun mixed in?!?! :-)
After a long flight to San Francisco, I was able to spend some time touring the city a bit before dinner and collasping of exhaustion! At the recommendation of the hotel, I walked from my hotel to the steps leading up to the Coit Tower. Here is some background about the Coit Tower, enjoy reading!
The coolest part of the Coit Tower is the fact that once at the top, you have 360-degree views of San Francisco, including the Bay and the Golden Gate Bridge.

Lucky for me, this work trip was to a city where one of my college friends grew up and currently lives, BONUS!!! Having attended Hobart and William Smith Colleges in Geneva, NY, is it rare that two girls NOT from New England ended up roommates! She was from Walnut Creek, CA and me from Richmond, VA! We met up for sushi (my favorite meal when I'm traveling).
Here we are after dinner!
Of course, I HAD to get some chocolate at Ghiradelli afterwards!
Tons of chocolate!
Some chocolates for the road and some Mint Chocolate Chip ice cream, my absolute favorite!
The next day, after my morning work event was over, I changed into some comfortable clothes and shoes for my walking trip to...THE GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE! #bucketlist #pumped
Here are a few photos from my 7 mile (yes, 7 mile!!!) walking trip to the Golden Gate Bridge, yippee, enjoy!

Fresh flowers at the market!
Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 39!
The sea lions sunbathing! So freaking adorable! This guy/gal was my favorite! He/she stayed in the same position for the entire 5-10 minutes that I stood there taking pictures and watching! #thelife
Ghiradelli Square! I spy chocolate!!! (If you haven't already noticed, I have a weakness for chocolate.)
Alcatraz from afar! I was surprised at how Alcatraz was to the coast. A guide while I was visiting Coit Tower told me that the prisoners could actually hear people partying on the docks in San Francisco from their cells, creepy!
Getting closer! (Sorry for the geeky glasses haha!)
I MADE IT!!! View from the end of the bridge! Looks even bigger once you're standing on it!
Oh, and found my future sailboat on the way back! Love the color!
After an AMAZING day touring San Francisco, it was definitely time for an amazing dinner! I had received multiple recommendations to go to Taditch Grill and get the Seafood Cioppino, so...I had to! IT WAS AMAZING! I highly recommend dinner at Taditch Grill on California Street next time you're in San Francisco and if you're there, definitely get the Seafood Cioppino, you won't be disappointed!
Here is a little bit about the Taditch Grill, which first opened as a coffee stand in California during the Gold Rush and is now one of the oldest and best restaurants in San Francisco.
So, my weekend was filled with: airports, hotels, a work event, sea lions, over 14 miles of walking, The Golden Gate Bridge, seeing my college roomate, eating dinner at the oldest restaurant in San Francisco, and of course, simply, livin' and lovin' life!
Hope you had a FABULOUS weekend too! More posts to come......
