Happy Friday to everyone- today is Friday AND my birthday eve, YAY!
Today's fabulous Friday post is about family and spending time with your fabulous family members (even though they might annoy the crap out of you!).
I had the unfortunate chance last weekend to attend my husband's grandfather's funeral in New York. While funerals are obviously a time of remembrance, they are also (sadly) one of the only times all family members get together.
My husband and I both decided that no matter how different we are from our family members or how far away we may live from them, you only get ONE family, so you must make the most of them and spend as much quality time with them as possible- outside of weddings and funerals.
It is so easy for us to all make excuses in our lives of why we can't take trips to visit family- don't have enough money, too far of a trip, don't have enough time off, the list of excuses goes on and on. But the truth of the matter is, family is family no matter what.
So, on that note, I have a goal for each and every one of you: spend more time with ALL of your family members! In fact, get to know a distant relative that maybe you've never met or only met once or twice in your life. Family and relationships are important, make time for them!
Happy Friday!
Lynn
