DAHHHH I can't believe I missed last Friday's post!!! I'm soooo sorry! To make up for it, here is complete cuteness for you!
As many of you already know, I am (slightly) obsessed with my dog! With that being said though, I am have every reason to be obsessed with him.
Back when my husband worked in the Westover Hills area of Richmond, he showed up to work one day and there was a little black dog tied to a pole outside his office. It had been raining all night so the dog was wet and was super fluffy. He was growling and shaking and really didn't want anyone near him. Kyle and I had been searching for a dog but hadn't found one yet. I ended up going over to his office and picking the dog up and taking him immediately to the vet. At that point, the vet said that the dog was hungry, but otherwise in good health- other than needing an immediate haircut because he was extremely matted! After the vet visit, I took him straight to the groomer. We called the local animal shelters and gave them his description in case he was someone's dog. After a week of no phone calls, we officially adopted him and named him Lucky!
To this day, it still puzzles me why ANYONE would leave this precious furry man abandoned on the side of the road- helpless and cold! Poor thang, bless his heart!
Lucky is the light of our life and we often say we don't actually know who the lucky one is- him or us! It's amazing how a little furry one can truly change your life- not to be cliche or anything- but it really does change the way you live!!!
