This week's Fabulous Friday post is about everything nautical!
Just because summer is almost over does not mean you have to put your nautical away, yet!!!
Personally, since our guest bedroom is going to be nautical-themed, I am on this total nautical kick right now. Here are some of my favorite nautical things for the home!
Just because summer is almost over does not mean you have to put your nautical away, yet!!!
First off, there is a big distinction between nautical and beach. Nautical = navy, tan, pops of red, and more "sailor" or "boating" oriented. Beach = light blues, tan, pops of aqua and more "sea creature" oriented. Got it? Good! For this purpose, we are focusing on more nautical.
For the Home
Personally, since our guest bedroom is going to be nautical-themed, I am on this total nautical kick right now. Here are some of my favorite nautical things for the home!

This is a great lamp for a bedroom and it is from Land of Nod. Bringing in rope elements are an easy way to bring more nautical touches to a room.

For the bedroom, if you are planning on doing neutral walls, this blue and white striped duvet cover from West Elm is a great choice for the bed! We have this duvet cover in grey and white in our master bedroom and LOVE LOVE LOVE it! Highly recommend!!!
For your outdoor space, this is a great outdoor area rug with nautical knots from Frontgate. Extra plus: it comes in a variety of colors and sizes!
These anchor hooks from Anthropologie are great for any nautical room- kitchen, laundry room, bedroom, or bathroom!
For the Closet
Even though summer is almost over (boohoo!) it doesn't mean the navy, white and red has to be boxed up and put away! Enjoy the rest of August and into September with your nautical outfits!
This super cute dress with anchors on it from Mod Cloth is perfect for a summer day and is a great price!
This Ann Taylor dress is great for those summer barbeques or casual summer weddings and it is a great length for tall women aka me! I am probably going to purchase this before the end of summer!

This sweater is a STEAL from Old Navy for only $9.97! The glitter on the front adds some sparkle!

Of course, you can't go wrong with navy and white monogrammed Jack Rogers and they are a MUST for the summer!
For the Jewelry Box
What I love about "nautical" jewelry is how great navy and gold go together! It is a great excuse to have more gold in your jewelry box...
These adorable rope bracelets with the anchor charm and monogram charm are great and are available in multiple colors from Marley Lilly!

This anchor watch from Swell Caroline would be perfect with some white shorts, blue tank top, and some red Jack Rogers!
This necklace from Ann Taylor is great with the gold and navy and would be perfect with a navy or red dress.
Hope you enjoyed this edition of Fabulous Friday and I hope you get out there and enjoy everything nautical, including anchors, gold jewelry and rope accents! SAIL ON!
Happy Friday!
Lynn
