I don't know about you, but I look forward to Sunday mornings pretty much every single day!
Since my husband is in the banking industry, he works on Saturday mornings, so our Saturday mornings are "work" mornings in which we are both up early- he heads to work and I usually head to an 8:00am gym class. So, Sunday mornings are our only morning to "sleep in" (aka anything past 7:00am).
After we leisurely roll out of bed, I make pancakes (and coffee of course)! But not just any pancakes, this is a recipe my mother grew up enjoying and then my brothers and I enjoyed all through our childhood.
I hope you enjoy this recipe and enjoy Sunday (or any) morning pancakes:
Funny Face Pancakes
1 1/4 c. flour
2 t. baking powder
1 T. sugar
1/2 t. salt
1/2 t. baking soda
1 beaten egg
1 1/4 c. buttermilk (Add 4 t. lemon juice to whole or 2% milk)
2 T. melted margarine
2-3 "glops" of vanilla
